The “Three Answers” Rule Has Become a Tool for Office Bullying

Image
Toxic Management and the 3-Option Rule: Why Your Boss’s Smart Tactics are Killing Productivity “ Never ask me such stupid questions again! ” A story of survival in a toxic corporate culture where we, the employees, were considered “ nobodies. ” A parable about how a good management idea was distorted to the point of complete operational paralysis. “You are the lowest form of existence. You do not deserve respect. You must be spoken to with contempt because you are a nobody.” This isn’t a quote from a dystopia. It was the official, albeit unspoken, philosophy of the owner of the company where I worked. Middle management happily adopted this approach. Photo by Startaê Team on Unsplash In such an atmosphere, any attempt to ask the boss for advice or help turned into a ritual of humiliation. If you didn’t know how to complete an unfamiliar task and couldn’t find the answer yourself or from your colleagues, you had no choice but to go to him. And you knew in advance ...

I Tried 6 of the Most Popular YouTube Marketing Tips. Here’s What Didn’t Work

Image
How I spent months on useless experiments until I realized one simple truth about channel growth Photo by Javier Miranda on Unsplash Anyone who starts a YouTube channel starts looking for advice from experienced YouTubers. They promise that everything is simple: if you put the right tags, make videos without a face, or publish on schedule, then everything will definitely work out. I tried each kind of source of information: articles, videos, and books. What if the secret is that popular bloggers don’t want to be overshadowed and given the wrong advice? I decided to test these “secret formulas” on my channels, and I have 5 of them, and none of them have monetized in two years. Spoiler: most of them are just myths that no longer work. I spend endless hours searching for answers that are repeated from source to source. After months of experimentation, I realized that all these hacks are powerless if one key element is missing. Method #1 They advise making sev...

This Website Pays up to $500 per Black-and-White Photo

Image
How to Earn $500 per Photo: A Guide to The Sun Magazine Submissions Photo by Marek Piwnicki on Unsplash In search of earnings on articles, I came across a site that is interested not only in them, but also in photos. I have a large archive of photos, as this is one of my hobbies. I always take photos of everything and everywhere. So, I decided to try to send some of my photos. What kind of photos are accepted? After looking through several photos on the site, I realized that they accept various pictures that suit the editors: from people and buildings to animals, food, and nature. I started downloading photos that, in my opinion, are close to the site’s themes, or just non-standard. Since all the photos on the site are black and white, I had to process each one; in addition, the photos shouldn’t be too heavy, and I also had to compress them. I will write about the sizes later. If the editors like your photo, you will receive a message by email. If they don’t...

Apple TV Rebrand: Where’s the ‘Bright New Identity’?

Image
The new Apple TV logo is simply a removed “+.” I came up with my own version that truly integrates TV into the brand. Image created with Gemini AI Recently, in October 2025, Apple announced a rebranding of its streaming service, renaming Apple TV+ to the sleek Apple TV. The company loudly dubbed this change a “vibrant new identity.” However, the logo itself underwent only cosmetic changes: the iconic “+” prefix was removed, and the previous white symbols were given a trendy Liquid Glass effect and became multicolored. Is this idea really that new? I decided to look at the old logos, and look what I found! It turns out that this update is essentially a return to the past. The new, “ bright ” Apple TV logo is practically identical to the logo used for the Apple TV app and set-top box before the launch of TV+ in 2019. I Waited 20 Years for Success After the Movie “The Secret.” Why is the “Law of Attraction” a Dangerous Self-delusion?

Image
The Truth About "The Secret": Why the Law of Attraction Failed Me for 20 Years “Just wish for it, and the Universe will give it to you.” In 2006, my aunt brought us a tape she’d bought for a pretty penny at a  success training course.  It was a film called  “The Secret.”  That was the moment magic entered my life… Photo by Umar ben on Unsplash What’s the film about? The premise of the film is simple and fantastical: Whatever you dream of, the universe will give you, you just have to wish for it. The universe has limitless possibilities, and it will attract everything you dream of: whether you dream of love, health, money, or popularity. The background shows a metaphor of a small plant growing through the earth. If it can do it, then so can you… However, if you focus on the negative, you’ll attract it. The film says… I also needed to create a vision board, look at it, and draw inspiration from it. Everything on that board will be attracted… ...

When the Private Goes Public: The Breastfeeding Debate

Image
Public Breastfeeding Etiquette: Is It a Natural Process or a Social Taboo? Photo by Devi Puspita Amartha Yahya on Unsplash Not long ago, one morning, I witnessed a scene in a café that made me think about personal boundaries and social norms. A young woman was breastfeeding her baby, and this caused me mixed feelings. On the one hand, it was a natural process; on the other, I wondered if this violated the comfort and personal boundaries of some highly sensitive people. This incident made me think: where is the line between naturalness and etiquette in modern life? In Support of Public Breastfeeding Breastfeeding is not a sexualized process, but a natural and vital process for the baby. Some people believe that there is nothing shameful about it; it is done for the convenience of the mother and child, and it should be done when they need it. Opinions are divided on whether breastfeeding is something natural or not in the 21st century. But why is it a...

4 Disney Secrets You Didn’t Know

Image
Funny secrets that Mickey Mouse and his friends hide. Why do they wear gloves, and how do their clothes speak about their “humanity”? I’ve been watching Disney cartoons since I was a child, and only as I got older did I start asking questions that didn’t seem obvious before. Why does Mickey Mouse have four fingers ? Why does Winnie the Pooh have a T-shirt and Piglet doesn’t? I decided to find the answers to these questions, and here’s what I found out. Photo by Brian McGowan on Unsplash Four fingers If you look closely, most Disney cartoon characters have 4 fingers. I wondered why this is so. It turns out the reason is simple: it is much faster to draw 4 fingers on each frame than 5. This saves 20% of the time on each frame. And before this process was only manual and labor-intensive. The second reason is that with thicker fingers the characters look more friendly, while five thin fingers could merge on the screen and look like a “bunch of banana...

I asked an AI to guess the lottery numbers, and this is what happened

Image
Can AI Help You Win the Lottery? My Real Experiment with Statistics and Probability What if AI is capable of not only writing texts, creating pictures, but also… helping to win the lottery? Perhaps this is madness, I should try! I will say right away that I am not a gambler; usually, I buy 1 or 2 tickets for Christmas, traditionally, to see if I can win or not. Usually, it turns out that I either do not win anything or I recoup the cost of the ticket, and I already consider this a great deal, since I don’t lose anything in this scenario. Photo by Davis Patton on Unsplash Recently, I read an article from which I learned that a woman asked for random numbers in the lottery and won several million. I thought it was quite interesting. And I conducted an experiment, which consisted of several steps. Step 1 — Choose a Lottery First, I didn’t ask about numbers; I gave a list of the cheapest lotteries and asked the AI which one had the highest chance of winning. The ...
