Many people try to find easy money online, passive income, or semi-passive income. But what if you have a brilliant idea, but no money to implement it? Should you forget about your dream or get into debt? Not necessarily. There is another way out. In this article, I will tell you about it.

This platform opens up amazing opportunities for every person who needs help with an important step, the first investment in their business.

This is a crowdfunding platform, which means it is not a charity or a loan. Read to the end and find out what platform we are talking about.

How it works

Firstly, you should register on the platform and create a personal account. Then, you name and describe your goal and indicate the amount of money you need for development.

Companies that have a video explanation collect more responses. Showing your charisma, your sparkling eyes, and confidence in success will definitely be a bonus.

The platform allows 41% of those who create applications to collect funding — this is an excellent indicator! Although success is not guaranteed, many reach or exceed their funding goal. This shows that with a good idea and proper preparation, the chances are high!

The key rule of the platform is that it works on the principle of All-or-nothing, that is, if you specified the required amount and terms, and did not collect the required amount by a certain date, then all the money is returned to the Backers.

All you need to do is describe your goal so that people can believe in you correctly.

Have you already thought about what idea of yours you could launch? Write in the comments!

Do I need to return the money?

No, you don’t need to return the money. In return, backers receive either early access to a product, service, or your merch, or something similar.

Who is sponsored

The platform is interested in modern technologies and art, so I will provide a brief list of projects that backers are willing to support, ranging from technology and games to music, films, art, comics, fashion, and design.

Who sponsors?

Backers are ordinary people who are interested in your project and want to support you, or want to get your product or service. You can become a backer too.

Just imagine that you can get a new phone, or laptop, or even a mini robot, long before they appear in stores, or an exclusive soft toy that no one else will have! Sometimes it even turns out cheaper than the retail price.

So the platform is beneficial for both participants.

Commissions

The platform takes 5% of the successfully collected amount plus a 3–5% payment system service fee.

Read the rules

Keep in mind that if you once created a fundraising card, no matter whether the campaign was successful or not, the platform will leave your profile on the site forever. These are the rules.

You also cannot collect money on the platform for charity. It has a different niche.

You should also read the platform rules, which indicate prohibited content.

What is this platform?

This platform is called Kickstarter. By 2025, 651,984 projects had already been launched on it. More than $8,970,000,000+ had been paid. The number of successful projects that have already been paid has reached 282,800+.

An interesting fact is that 884 projects raised over $1 million. But on average, projects raise from $1,000 to $10,000. It all depends on the scale of your project.

So, Kickstarter is a modern, successful platform that helps creative people support their ideas without start-up capital.

However, securing funds is only half the battle; maintaining a strong identity is what ensures long-term success in the digital marketing space. Even for industry leaders, growth strategies must evolve to keep up with viral trends and changing user expectations. Sometimes, even the most powerful promotion tools can’t hide a lack of clear vision during a major transition. To see how a global giant handled its latest identity shift and why the results might be questionable, you should read my next analysis: Apple TV Rebrand: Where’s the ‘Bright New Identity’?. Insider Tip: while writing a captivating campaign description and recording a charismatic pitch video are great first steps, launching a campaign that actually cuts through the noise requires a solid strategic blueprint. To master the art of building an audience before your launch day, I highly recommend exploring the excellent selection of crowdfunding campaign guides and startup launch books on Amazon. From step-by-step manuals written by successful project creators to expert marketing strategies on how to hook backers within the first seconds, you'll find hundreds of invaluable resources to turn your creative spark into a fully funded reality.
