  • YouTube and TikTok bloggers: to insert catchy movie clips.

  • Scriptwriters and storytellers: when you need to find a visual metaphor or a specific quote.
  • Regular users: to send the perfect GIF in response to a chat or comment.

Previously, to find that one line from “The Godfather,” I had to download the entire film and manually search for the right moment. Now it takes 5 seconds.

Yarn
is my favorite. A huge library of meme scenes and dialogues sorted by quotes. You can download or share them on many social networks. It works even without registration; I checked, and the GIF downloaded. You just need to click the second-to-last icon. You can download everything for free.

Clip.cafe is good for finding atmospheric scenes. It can search by keywords, scene descriptions, actors, and directors. When I entered both the movie and the actors, nothing came up, nor did I get any results when I entered the character’s name. But when I simply entered the name of the series or movie, the service worked. To download, you need to register. The service is free.

Giphy.com is one of the most popular services, in my opinion. It’s a database of GIFs and short videos. But keep in mind that Giphy is better suited for stickers with a transparent background. To use GIFs and stickers, you also need to be registered on the site. The service is free.

Tenor is another popular GIF and sticker service. You need to be a registered user to download. Tenor is great for classic GIF reactions in messengers. Importantly, the service is free. You can also create and add your own GIFs, but there’s no fee for doing so.
