How to Use YouTube's "Invite A Collaborator" Feature to Explode Your Views
YouTube's Secret Button: How I Use Collaborations to Reach Millions for Free
Unlock the hidden potential of collaborative growth and learn how to put your content in front of millions using YouTube's latest networking tool
This isn’t just another YouTube update. It’s a quiet but powerful revolution in the world of collaboration, giving YouTubers the opportunity for the first time to get millions of views without sharing a cent of their revenue.
While uploading a new video to YouTube, I saw the new “Invite A Collaborator” button and immediately knew I needed to explore it. I tested it and wrote detailed step-by-step instructions.
Understanding YouTube marketing today means staying ahead of these technical shifts.

What does this new feature offer?
This feature is designed to expose your video to millions of new viewers. You’re guaranteed to get more views and possibly even new subscribers. Here is what you gain:
- Expanded Reach: this blogger’s audience will see your content, giving you instant exposure;
- Full Control: important: you retain full rights to your video, as well as all revenue and watch time.
The key mechanism: How to reach a co-author’s audience?
It’s almost simple, except for one thing, which I’ll cover below. If the blogger accepts your invitation, your video will be recommended to their subscribers and will appear in their subscription feed. This is the ultimate free promotion method for growing channels.
How to send an invitation? Step-by-step instructions
Since I uploaded a shortcut, the screenshots will be from my phone. Once the shortcut is uploaded, you’ll find the “Invite a Collaborator” button near the very bottom.

| Step 1: finding the button in the YouTube Studio app |
Clicking on it will open a nearly empty window. Here, you can enter the blogger’s channel name and invite them to collaborate.
Just start typing the name, I’ll show you using Mr Beast as an example.
Next, simply select the channel you’ll be collaborating with from the list. You can then activate the slider to share video analytics data.
After that, click the Create a Link button. This is necessary to send an invitation to the blogger.

| Step 3: generating the unique invitation link |
Then click the Share button, copy the generated link to open the menu, and then send it to the blogger in your preferred messenger.
Once the blogger confirms their agreement to collaborate, the application status in your YouTube Studio will change from Pending acceptance to Accepted.
The video will appear on the blogger’s page.
What’s the catch?
Unfortunately, this feature isn’t for small, unknown channels.
If you don’t have the blogger’s contact information, you can’t simply send a link in the app; it doesn’t work that way. Otherwise, all bloggers with millions of followers would receive millions of requests. First, you need to establish contacts. Building influencer relationships is still the most important part of the job.
Ultimately, the “Invite A Collaborator” feature is undoubtedly a breakthrough. It allows you to grow your audience without investing in advertising, but it requires a key element: direct connections with other creators. Using this tool, larger channels will be able to grow faster, and for smaller ones, it will be a powerful incentive to build connections.
Mastering collaborative features is a vital part of any modern digital strategy, but the true strength of a creator lies in their ability to experiment with emerging technologies. While partnerships help you reach new viewers, it is your unique application of tools like artificial intelligence that creates lasting value and engagement. In an age where automation is touching every creative field, from video production to home styling, we must test the limits of what these machines can actually achieve. To see if technology can truly handle the nuances of a creative profession and bring fresh ideas to your living space, you should read my next practical analysis:
Insider Tip: for high-quality collaborations, you need professional-looking mobile footage. If you want to shoot professional-grade collaborations on the go, a 3-axis gimbal stabilizer for smartphone or a wireless lavalier microphone will make your "Invite a Collaborator" requests much more appealing to big influencers. Nobody wants to collaborate with shaky video and bad sound!
While I’m navigating the world of technical updates and new buttons, I’m also focused on creating truly valuable products. Maybe you’ll find something useful for your creative workflow or just something cute for your collection? 🦝
Have you already implemented this button in YouTube Studio? Do you think this feature is a real breakthrough for smaller channels, or just a convenient tool for those who already know big influencers? Share in the comments: who would you try collaborating with if you had their contact information?
