Banana Bucks App Review: Is It a Scam or a Legit Way to Earn?
Can You Really Earn $5 on Banana Bucks? Testing the Viral Survey App
The truth about survey apps that promise fast cash but deliver endless frustrations and low ratings
From time to time, for fun and to earn a little money, I take surveys on various websites. This is not passive or even income, because the payment usually needs to be higher. I like taking surveys because they can be interesting and someone else respects my opinion. I was looking for an additional site with surveys when I found Banana Bucks. Many users look for honest Trustpilot reviews before installing such apps, and for a good reason.
This is an app, which you need to install on your phone. Registration is quite simple, as always, enter your email and fill out your profile. Depending on how well it is filled out, you will receive surveys often or rarely.

Much less. The app promises, that they pay 40% more than the competitors.
For the first survey, they promise to pay $1, for the rest you will earn different amounts of money, depending on the topic and length, but a minimum $0.20 per, but they don’t say what is maximum…
How can you earn more?
- The answers: must be written well and truthful (not clear how they identify the last one);
- Survey frequency: you need to try to make all surveys that you receive, the more you do — the more often you will receive new surveys, and the more you will receive money;
- Notifications: don't forget to turn on notifications in your e-mail. Every time that the app sends it — you will be able to take a survey first (usually you have a few seconds to get it).
Payment Methods
You can receive your rewards via PayPal. Minimum amount to receive — $5. It takes 1–2 days to see money on your PayPal account. Not fast, right?
Usually, it takes a couple of minutes to receive money on competitive platforms.
The app also promises the following: The typical BananaBucks user is able to reach their minimum cashout balance in their first couple days — getting to $5 is pretty easy!
What Trustpilot says?
I like to check the websites that promise easy money, so what we can see in the rating of Banana Bucks?

Shockingly low Trustpilot rating for Banana Bucks app |
One more testimonial with the negative experience shows that the app might disqualify you right before you reach the threshold.
Doesn’t look like it’s so easy to get the first $5 like the app promises. But, for all time of existence of this website, there are only 9 testimonials.
I see no one answer from the Banana Bucks — that’s a bad sign. Probably they really don’t send money and their support doesn't help customers.
So my opinion is that this app is not really reliable.
Instead of wasting time on questionable apps that offer no guarantees, it is far better to invest your energy into established marketplaces that value your talent. If you have a passion for creativity and want to build a sustainable income stream through your work, you should look into professional platforms for creators. Check out my detailed manual on
Insider Tip: wasting hours on broken survey apps for a few cents is a trap. If you really want to be productive on your phone, invest in a good ergonomic phone stand or a stylus to make your actual creative work easier. Your time is worth more than a $5 reward that never arrives.
Anyway, while apps like Banana Bucks try to slip away with people's time, I’m focused on building things that actually stay. Every raccoon 🦝 knows that real work brings real rewards. Maybe you can find something useful for your own projects here or just grab something cute to brighten your desk?
